The title of this blog comes from my past experiences. I've always wanted a best friend that would stick with me through the thick and thin. A friend that would sit with me in a hospital room when I was sick; someone I genuinely cared about. Unfortunately, I haven't found that best friend yet. At least I don't think I have. Of course that person could already be in my life, and I could just be oblivious to the fact.
However...
I have found a friend that is always by my side... Jesus Christ. He has brought me through SO much, and I have no idea where I'd be if it weren't for Him being in my life today.
When I first decided on the title, I didn't really give it as much thought until after the first few months of blogging. The title really struck me as potent when I realized that there was a song by Tenth Avenue North that embodied the message I felt the title held. It's called "By Your Side." I thought it was cool that the song's title was kind of the "speaker" to my title, if you catch what I'm meaning here. The song's message is that our Saviour is always there when we need Him. Whenever we call out, He's right there beside us, reminding us that He's been there all along, we just have to lean on Him and have faith.
