Answer the following question...

Why did the chicken cross the road?

Oh, come on!!! It's NOT so he can get to the other side!! Be CREATIVE. Give me an answer that hasn't been heard before!

For example:
He crossed the road because he was headless and couldn't see where he was going, and since he was headless he thought that something (or someone!) was after the rest of his body so he started running. In reality, he didn't even mean to cross the road.

4 Facts of life

There are 4 facts to life...

1. No one can count their teeth with their tongue.

2. There are always those dumb enough to try to count their teeth right after hearing the first fact.

3. There are always those dumb enough to start laughing at themselves after hearing the second fact.

4. The first fact of life is not true.

Did you count your teeth? Did you laugh at yourself?

Cheesy? Yeah, but funny? Of course!

11, well, 10 somewhat cool mostly just unknown facts

1. Intelligent people have more zinc and copper in their hair.

2. The world's youngest parents were 8 and 9 and lived in China in 1910.

3. Our eyes remain the same size from birth onward, but our nose and ears never stop growing.

4. You burn more calories sleeping than you do watching TV.

5. A person will die from total lack of sleep sooner than from starvation. Death will occur about 10 days without sleep, while starvation takes a few weeks.

6. Chewing gum while peeling onions will keep you from crying.

7. The Mona Lisa had no eyebrows.

8. When the moon is directly overhead, you weigh slightly less.

9. Alexander Graham Bell, the inventor of the telephone, never telephoned his wife or mother because they were both deaf.

10. "I Am." is the shortest complete sentence in the English language.

11. Colgate faced big obstacle marketing toothpaste in Spanish speaking countries because Colgate translates into the command "go hang yourself."

A fellow blogger made this list, but I know for a fact that chewing gum while peeling onions only makes the gum taste slightly like onions while you cry up a storm. The reason you cry is because you smell the onion, so if you wear a nose plug (or just don't breathe) you won't have anything to cry about!! But feel free to prove me wrong and post a comment about your onion experiences!

New Year - 2010!!!

I'm always intrigued by the feeling of a new year. For some reason I always feel as if it's a new beginning for me each time we count down to the new year. Maybe it's because I always like to overthink everything.

One thing I like about new years is new years resolutions. I always had a hard time keeping them when I was younger mostly because as a child I tended to dream big, and unfortunately I dreamed a tad too big - all the time. Haha. My disappointment when I realized that most of these dreams were unrealistic for me really stopped me from dreaming as I once did.

This is why I didn't really like to make "mini dreams" for the new year. I didn't ever see myself actually accomplishing what I set out to do.
Then, I grew up a little. I learned that making goals in life is important to making those big steps we want to get to later in life. Taking care of the little things, being determined to carve off that tiny bit of flab in the front, or keep your room organized, or keep up with all your homework, or being home more often from your job can all be things that make us stonger for future challenges we face if only we can stick them out.

So I challenge you, make some New Years Resolutions, it doesn't matter if it's way past January 1st. Get yourself to perservere and be determined to see these new goals through. You might be surprised how much you can accomplish when you decide to achieve.
